Dr. Hurschman is a pain specialist who also specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation. He has more than 30 years experience in pain management.
William H. Baumgartl, M.D., MSME
Pain Management Specialist
William H. Baumgartl, M.D., MSME, has over 33 years of experience in the medical field. He is triple board-certified in the specialties of anesthesiology and pain medicine from the American Board of Anesthesiology and addiction medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He holds active medical licenses in California, Nevada, Washington and Oregon.
Currently, Dr. Baumgartl serves as the Director of Regenerative Medicine at Sage Pain and Wellness Institute in San Diego. He also leads the center’s second opinion/consult program for advanced pain diagnosis and treatment.

Insun Lee, MD
Pain Management Specialist
Dr. Lee is a pain management specialist with more than 10 years experience in the medical field. She is UCLA fellowship trained in spine interventions and is board certified in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. Prior to moving to Southern California, she completed her medical school education and residency training at Columbia University in New York City.

Elizabeth Donohue
Nurse Practitioner
Liz Donoghue is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who received her undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and her master’s degree in nursing from Simmons University in Boston.
Her professional background includes post-acute rehabilitation, general medicine, and orthopedic surgery. Through her nursing experiences she discovered her passion for helping patients who struggle with pain as well as her interest in musculoskeletal disorders.

Russel Pineda
Physician Assistant
Russel is a board-certified physician assistant who graduated from University of Utah School of Medicine in 2019. Prior to PA school, he served in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman for 6 years.
He speaks English, Kapampangan and Tagalog.

Mani Khaleghi
Physician Assistant
Mani is a board-certified Physician Assistant who graduated from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland in 2016. He worked in the primary care field after graduating and became interested in pain management.
He has been working in the medical field for about 20 years. His passion in life is helping people and being able to make patients feel better. He is always open to new challenges and self-improvement. He is eager to stay ahead in our dynamic health care system and keep up with ever-changing medical advances.
He is bilingual in English and Farsi.
